 Welcome to the McColl Medical Practice at Thornliebank Health Centre. We aim to provide the highest standard of health care in a friendly and comfortable environment. Our practice originated in Thornliebank over 100 years ago, and has served the community ever since. We have seen many changes over the years and now occupy modern purpose built premises where our team of health care professionals offer a full range of services. The Health Centre is fully equipped and is easily accessible to the disabled, the elderly and parents of young children. There is a baby-changing area and children's play area. We have a large car park with reserved spaces for disabled patients.
As part of our GMS contract with the Primary Care trust in Glasgow we consistently achieve among the highest scores of "quality" points awarded to practices in the Glasgow area. We provide all essential, additional and enhanced services. We are one of the few local medical practices which offer extended opening hours.
Our practice area covers the postcode areas G43, G46, G53 and G77, covering much of the south side of Glasgow. We welcome new patients from these areas.
To register as a patient please come in to our Health Centre and ask our reception staff for a registration form. You do not require a medical card from your previous GP. Once completed and signed, we can offer you our full range of services. Thereafter, when making an appointment you can see the GP or nurse of your choice.
The Health Centre is open on weekdays between 8am and 6pm.
We have recently introduced extended opening hours and now offer GP consultations from 7.30 am on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and until 8 pm on Mondays.
